Independence day rocks! - Independence Day Reviews
What a good movie! I haven't seen for six years, but when I did, it was good.
Independence Day starts off when a huge object appear on the radars. Then, it breaks off into several different city-sized disks heading for Earth's atmosphere. When the disks appear over several cities, including New York City, Los Angeles, and Washington D.C., it turns out that the Earth is being visited by creatures from another planet.
After six hours, the ships open up, releasing a destructive beam that totals all of the cities in minutes. Now, the survivors have to stop these invaders before they can destroy anymore.
The cast goes as followed: Will Smith, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Mary McDonnell, Randy Quaid, Vivica A. Fox, etc. These listed are the main heroes who lead a rebellion against the aliens.
If you know Roland Emmerich, you know this would be the type of movie he'd direct. Don't get me wrong, he's a good director of science fiction, maybe even the best one. Except Steven Speilberg, of course.
The visuals are good, they don't look fake or animated.
The fact that a movie like this became an instant classic is kind of hard to believe.
An overall review short: The movie is great, realistic acting, good visuals, excellent directing, and is a must-see for those who want to see it because it is not only mentioned on the boxes of his other movies after it, but because it is good movie.
