Indifferent day - Independence Day Reviews

Since this was just an incredibly predictable action film it's difficult to really have an opinion about it. Will Smith added interest and a human touch allowing me to empathise with the characters and wonder how I would react to he imminent destruction of the world.The eventual manner in which aliens were defeated was clever,but why did the president go off to fight? If he'd been killed his daughter would have been an orphan...bit selfish of him? The redeming feature of this film was definately it's amazing special effects. However the opening sequence was a blatantStar Wars rip off. This was interesting enough, but if you want entertainment watch the spoof: Mars Attacks.
